What is retirement? A time for growing older and wiser? A time to finally come to terms with who we are and finally enjoying being there? A passage ..perhaps a journey...? We don't know our destinies. But we can surely try to have fun along the way! At least looking at the bright side helps give us courage. Being with friends and those we share our lives with can brighten the path. We celebrated a retirement today for a coworker. It felt a little like the divine sisterhood! We have shared many hours together as coworkers, some frustrating, some sad, all working for the same causes..patient satisfacton and income! There were always happy moments along the way. We had holiday parties and employee banquits. But the most memorable times were job oriented- as friends- sometimes being silly and sometimes just being supportive. What I'm trying to get at is..no matter what we do or where we go...friends guide us down the road. Congratulations on being retired Marian!!!
